Are they really who they say they are? Do the products even exist? The internet is a minefield and not only for the gullible. We can never be a 100% certain that we won’t be ripped off but we can research prospective suppliers by searching for them on the internet and checking out testimonials and reviews.
As you start to Take Your Business Digital you are going to have to build trust with prospective customers around the world. You need to be “out there” promoting yourself as an expert in what you do. Use LinkedIn to interact with those in your industry. Ensure that the face you present on all your Social Media is professional. Once it is on the internet it is there forever.
Use your website to promote your expertise and ask your customers to write testimonials and reviews about you and your products so when prospective clients come to your website they will feel a little more confident about doing business with you.
For most of us this is quite difficult to do but we have to remember that we are selling ourselves to a world that will probably never meet us face to face.
